Freyburg (dpa/sa) – The winegrowers’ association Freyburg-Unstrut is already considering the first ice harvest due to the announced minus temperatures at the weekend. “Meteorologists have announced that the thermometer could fall below minus 7 degrees Celsius in the next two nights,” said a spokesman for the association on Friday. If these conditions are met, there could be an ice harvest as early as November. The winegrowers in the Saale-Unstrut area set out for the last ice wine harvest on Christmas Day 2021.
