Plauen (dpa/sn) – Criminals blew up an ATM in Plauen and then piled up with the stolen cash. The police were not yet able to quantify the amount, but the property damage alone was estimated at 125,000 euros. The explosion on Thursday morning threw debris up to 30 meters away, said the Zwickau police department. Then the unknown perpetrators emptied the cash boxes and, according to witnesses, fled towards Autobahn 72 in a dark, high-powered car.
