Dresden (dpa/sn) – The volleyball players of Dresdner SC have solved their mandatory task at NawaRo Straubing with confidence and clearly won 3-0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:19) against the ninth-placed team in front of 530 spectators.
The guests from Dresden, who lost three days earlier against Potsdam in the quarter-finals of the cup, only had some adjustment problems in the first set and made a few service errors. In the tight final phase, however, captain Jennifer Jansika made the decision with two important points.
In the second period, the DSC women dictated what was happening from the start with powerful tasks and a strong block and field defense.
In the third period, Straubing tried again to throw everything into the balance, but the visitors, thanks to their better quality, brought home their fourth Bundesliga victory safely after 75 minutes.
The most successful DSC points collector was Lara Berger with 14 points, Agnes Pallag (9) was honored as MVP.
