Adorf / Zwickau (dpa / sn) – Changing temperatures have put a cat in Bad Elster in the Vogtland in an emergency. She had to be freed from a duck house on a pond by the fire department, the police in Zwickau said on Thursday. The rescue workers took the animal back to shore with a boat and returned it to the owner. The animal had apparently gotten into the little house the night before when it was still cold and the pond was frozen. In the morning the temperatures rose, the ice melted and the way back was cut off for the cat.
