Leipzig (dpa/sn) – The last weekend in May is windy and wet this year. “It’s more of a kind of April weather,” said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Saturday in Leipzig. Temperatures rose to a maximum of 17 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, many cumulus clouds formed, from which local rain showers could fall again and again. On Saturday in particular, there will also be a strong wind, and isolated gusts of wind are also possible.
According to the DWD, improvement is not in sight until next week. Hardly any showers are to be expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition, the temperatures then climbed back above the 20-degree mark. Meteorologically, summer begins on June 1 (Wednesday).
