The Civil Guard is investigating the death of a 16-year-old young man, his mother, a day later, with no apparent signs of violence, for which it is believed that they have suffered possible poisoning, according to sources from the Government sub-delegation in Segovia, local media such as El Día de Segovia and El Norte de Castilla have reported.

The father is seriously hospitalized in the ICU and two other daughters are doing well. The family home in Carbonero de Ahusín, in Segovia, has been sealed while the investigation is underway.

The 16-year-old boy, a high school student at Claret College, went to the doctor on Saturday for an ailment and died at home on Sunday. The following day, Monday afternoon, his mother passed away.

The results of the autopsies will reveal the origin of the possible poisoning.

Sources from the Junta de Castilla y León have indicated that they do not have any investigation open for public health reasons.

The Court of First Instance and Instruction of Santa María la Real de Nieva coordinates the proceedings.
