“Many don’t know it, but Madrid is one of the capitals of magic. Magicians from all over the world gather here. They asked Dereck Delgaudio, a great American magician, what you have to do to be the best magician in the world. His answer was: ‘kill all the Spaniards,'” Piedrahita highlighted in a recent interview in Elmundo.es.

Among his latest works, his comedy show stands out: It’s my word against mine at the Teatro Reina Victoria in Madrid and also a co-production with the Teatro Real where he will perform his peculiar tribute to Beethoven: ¡A la Bin!, ¡A la ban! , A la Ludwig Van!

Luis Piedrahita has written seven humor best sellers and also a children’s book titled Diario de una flea. A symphonic tale inspired by The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.

In the beginning, Luis Piedrahita was a collaborator and scriptwriter for the program El club de la comedia. There he became known thanks to his white humor and full of wit. He was also the winner of this program’s first monologue contest.

“My monologues became known for being unusual. They were, by the way, very naive and infrequent. That’s how I became a little famous,” highlights Piedrahita.

With Rodrigo Sopeña he also directed the feature film Fermat’s Room.

Last February he presented his show It’s My Word Against Mine at the Victoria Theater.
