Erfurt (dpa/th) – The Thuringian municipalities have not recorded any significant decline in refugees from Ukraine. In the past three months, between 2,000 and 3,000 people from the Eastern European country have arrived in the Free State, said a spokesman for the state administration office on request. A total of 28,850 Ukrainian war refugees have been officially registered in Thuringia so far. However, these numbers only relate to those who registered in municipalities or initial reception facilities. There was also an unknown number of people who were accommodated privately. Since the start of the Ukraine war at the end of February, around 2,500 people have been admitted to the state capital of Erfurt alone. Around 1,600 were registered in Jena and in the Wartburg district.
