An der Schmücke (dpa/th) – A liquid manure trailer overturned for an unknown reason in the town of An der Schmücke (Kyffhäuserkreis). The contents ran onto federal highway 86 on Friday morning and had to be pumped out and transported away, the police said. The environmental office and water authority of the district office are currently clarifying whether further measures are necessary. The main road had to be closed for several hours until the trailer could be recovered and the roadway completely cleaned. The police are investigating how the accident happened.
