Erfurt (dpa/th) – The previous service points in Thuringia’s tax offices will be closed forever on June 7th. Telephone information centers will then take their place, as the Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday in Erfurt. In the past two years during the corona pandemic, good experiences have been made with the service numbers, which have been used intensively.
The telephone information centers take inquiries from citizens, and they should also receive information about their personal tax returns over the phone. In addition to information on specific tax cases, the telephone information centers also provide general information about legal changes, current tax-related topics, the wage tax reduction procedure and tax return forms.
If a concern cannot be clarified over the phone, there is still the option of making an appointment for a personal conversation.
