Eddie Munson is one of the most popular characters from the fourth season of the Netflix hit “Stranger Things”. Joseph Quinn (28), who embodies the character and has been in front of the camera for years, apparently still does not know many. In “The Tonight Show” by US presenter Jimmy Fallon (47), he now said that he almost couldn’t enter to appear on the show. Thanks to his role, he was able to take part in the show.

It’s his first appearance on a talk show, Quinn explained. But he “almost didn’t make it”. The actor was stopped the day before entering the country and was taken to a kind of “dungeon”, as he jokingly says. There he first had to wait around 20 minutes and was then called to a desk where someone asked him: “What are you doing in the United States, sir?”

Quinn then said that he had come to meet Jimmy Fallon, which the employee did not believe. A colleague of the man then looked at the actor and said to the other: “Leave Eddie alone. […] This is Eddie from ‘Stranger Things’.” The employee then asked him, “You’re Eddie Munson?” He also wanted to know if Quinn will be back in season five. “Um, I don’t know,” Quinn replied. The man then handed the actor his passport with the comment that he should rather return as Eddie.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is one of the biggest successes for Netflix. According to the streaming service, the latest episodes were viewed worldwide for a little less than 1.34 billion viewing hours in the first 28 days after release. No English-language series has been nearly as successful on the platform. Only “Squid Game” was previously able to earn more than a billion streaming hours on Netflix. South Korean production has held the current overall record since the end of 2021 with around 1.65 billion hours within the first 28 days.
