Ebern (dpa / lby) – Officials found almost 70 kilograms of coffee and several bicycles when checking a van in Lower Franconia. As the police announced on Monday, one of the bikes, a high-quality pedelec, had been reported stolen in North Rhine-Westphalia. Another two-wheeler was also suspected of being stolen. The origin of the 138 packs of coffee that were discovered on Sunday near Ebern (Hassberge district) was initially unclear. According to a police spokesman, it is currently being determined whether these were stolen. The driver of the van and his companion are now being investigated for theft.
