Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – The soccer players from Eintracht Frankfurt landed their second victory on the third day of the Bundesliga match. Coach Niko Arnautis’ team defeated SV Werder Bremen 3-1 (1-0) on Sunday. In front of 2000 spectators in the stadium at Brentanobad, the Swiss Geraldine Reuteler scored the goals for Eintracht with the outside of the foot from an acute angle (35th minute) and national player Nicole Anyomi with preparatory work from Barbara Dunst (46th), before Sophia Kleinherne scored an own goal made it exciting again in the 70th minute. Lara Prasnikar (85th) scored the final score in the closing stages. National player Laura Freigang was still missing from Frankfurt because of her shoulder injury.
The Eintracht women played 0-0 against runners-up FC Bayern Munich in the season-opening game at Deutsche Bank Park in front of a record crowd of 23,200 fans and then won 4-2 at SC Freiburg. With seven points, the Hessians defended their place in the top group, two points behind leaders VfL Wolfsburg.
