Harsleben (dpa/sa) – In Harsleben near Halberstadt in the Harz district, two fires with high property damage broke out late on Sunday evening. First of all, two coaches went up in flames on the premises of a bus company for reasons that have not yet been clarified, the police said on Monday. More than 30 firefighters prevented other vehicles from falling victim to the fire. Here alone the property damage amounts to more than 200,000 euros, it said.
A short time later, a car burned down under a carport in Harsleben. Again, the cause is still unknown, according to the police. The damage amounts to a total of 50,000 euros. Investigations into both fires are ongoing, officials said.
