German Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) continues to see pent-up demand for the equal opportunities of men and women in working life. “We have made good progress, but we are not yet where we want to be: parity is the goal,” Merkel said in a greeting aired on Tuesday at the annual conference of the Initiative to the boss. The Initiative is the chief thing for equality in the world of work.
In the current crisis, as a result of the Corona pandemic, it was “only a question of economic rationality is that women can develop their potentials”, said Merkel more. In order to achieve equal opportunities, there would have to be but “still a culture change.”
