Universal Music Group Launches UMG Global Impact Team, Led by Susan Mazo
Universal Music Group (UMG) has taken a significant step towards positive change with the establishment of the UMG Global Impact Team. This team aims to amplify the company’s vision for positive change through various initiatives such as community engagement, environmental sustainability, events, and special projects.
Led by Susan Mazo, who has been promoted to EVP and chief impact officer, the team includes individuals with vast experience in sustainability, charitable giving, and community engagement. Mazo, who joined UMG in 2014, has been a key figure in developing initiatives related to artist healthcare, mental health, and support for the unhoused population.
Additionally, Dylan Siegler has been appointed as SVP, head of sustainability, bringing with her two decades of experience in driving environmental and social impact in the Fortune 500 companies.
UMG has also partnered with Inside Projects, a strategy and marketing agency specializing in social impact, to advise the global impact team across various areas such as communications, public policy, artist, and shareholder relations.
UMG chairman-CEO Lucian Grainge expressed his enthusiasm for the formation of the Global Impact Team, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the exceptional talent within the team to drive positive impact across the company, the industry, and the communities they serve.
In a similar move, global sports, music, and entertainment company Wasserman has expanded Lee Anderson’s role to president of Wasserman’s music division. Anderson, a founding member of Wasserman Music’s executive leadership team, has been instrumental in shaping the agency since its launch in 2021.
Anderson represents artists such as Cautious Clay, David Guetta, Disclosure, and others. His leadership has been crucial in charting a path for broader global success within Wasserman Music.
