Most people still know Sara Nuru as the former winner of “Germany’s next top model”. But the 33-year-old is not only busy on the catwalk. Now she has a lot more to do: she gave birth to her first child.
Sara Nuru has become a mother for the first time. This was announced by the “Germany’s next top model” winner from 2009 on Instagram in the form of a video. The clip shows the 33-year-old walking with a stroller in the snow. Nuru comments on the post without words. She only added two heart and a chick emoji.
The model did not initially reveal any further details about the birth, the gender of the baby or the name of the child. The fact that she was pregnant was leaked during Nuru’s appearance on the “NDR Talk Show” in September 2022. “You can hardly see it, but we can announce the breaking news on this show. Something is on the way,” said presenter Bettina Tietjen at the time. And Nuru added: “Half is done.” To this day, she has not revealed who her partner and father of the child is.
On the Instagram message that she has since given birth, some celebrities left many congratulations in the comment column. “Congratulations,” writes “Let’s Dance” juror Motsi Mabuse. “Oooooh! Congratulations and have a wonderful time getting to know each other,” commented presenter Annika Lau. And ntv moderator Micky Beisenherz notes: “Yeah! Happy Birthday!”
Born in Erding in 1989 as a child of Ethiopian immigrants, Sara Nuru prevailed against the competition in the fourth season of “Germany’s next top model”. She gained her first catwalk experience before she took part in the ProSieben show with Heidi Klum.
Nuru is now not only active as a model. She also works as a presenter and founded a company with her sister that sells coffee from Ethiopia. She is also active as an ambassador for sustainable development on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
