The followers of La Isla de las Tentaciones 6 were able to see on Monday, February 20 on Telecinco one of the most shocking moments of the edition, Elena’s fainting in a bonfire. Sandra Barneda explained in the ‘reality’ debate on Tuesday the 21st how she felt about what happened.
“I’m not telling you how we stayed, how we lived that night, the things that went through our heads, the seconds of panic because we didn’t know what was happening to him…”, the Catalan shared in the format.
“It was hard to see how he was making those piercing screams and when we didn’t expect it, we thought he had calmed down, he was collapsing and we didn’t know how serious it was,” he said. The presenter stressed that the program “is very complicated to do” and spoke about her role in the bonfires.
Barneda addressed Silvia, Elena’s mother, who was on the set: “What happens to me is that I don’t see the fall. I’m frozen because I think your daughter has hit her head. I’m scared.” She also indicated that the team reacted immediately and asked the rest of the girls to leave the bonfire.
“It was something uncontrollable and the first thing we needed was to see that your daughter was okay. It was a drop in tension due to the hardness of the shock. Then we learned that she has drops in tension,” he added.
The ‘reality’ host stressed that she had not seen the fall of the participant: “That’s where I got scared, hence my reaction. Then I had to try to calm the girls down. I had to continue the bonfire, it was a very hard because they had lived through it”.
The debate on La Isla de las Tentaciones 6 showed unpublished images of Elena receiving medical attention after her fainting on Tuesday, February 21. A video shows how the young woman says that she feels better: “I’m dizzy.” A doctor explains on camera: “I don’t see any respiratory distress either, everything is within the normal range. It could be a vasovagal response to a stressful situation.”
In another clip, David’s girlfriend appears crying and venting to the tempters after returning to the villa: “I won’t be able to trust anyone, they’ve already hit me twice. It’s going to be impossible to have a relationship because I’m going to embitter that person forever.” At another point, she says: “I want to be strong, but inside I’m broken.”
