Colman Domingo takes on the role of a media pundit named Muncie Daniels in Netflix’s upcoming thriller, “The Madness.” In the official trailer released on Monday, we see Daniels stumbling upon a murder scene in the Poconos woods and becoming the sole witness to the crime. Feeling like he’s being set up to take the fall, Daniels embarks on a mission to reconnect with his estranged family and redeem himself.

The eight-episode series, set to premiere on Netflix on November 28th, features an ensemble cast including Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham, John Ortiz, Tamsin Topolski, and Thaddeus J. Mixon. This project comes on the heels of Domingo’s recent work on “Rustin,” a biopic about civil rights leader Bayard Rustin, which earned him his first Oscar nomination.

“The Madness” was created by Stephen Belber, with VJ Boyd serving as co-showrunner and executive producer. The limited series is directed by Clement Virgo under Chernin Entertainment, which has a first-look deal with Netflix. Additional executive producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Kaitlin Dahill.
