The showers and storms will be repeated this Sunday in many places in the northern half of the peninsula, according to the State Meteorological Agency, which has advanced that they will be especially strong in the Pyrenees, in Catalonia and in the southern surroundings of the Iberian system.

Five communities (Aragón, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Murcia and the Valencian Community) are on alert due to the forecast of heavy rains and storms, in many cases accompanied by hail.

According to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the islands of Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife are also on alert, given the prediction of strong winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, and by the waves.

The most intense rains will be recorded in the communities of Aragon, Catalonia and the Valencian Community, according to data from Aemet, which has advanced that up to 20 liters per square meter will be collected in some places, for which reason the “yellow” warning (risk) has been activated.

The three communities, and those of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia, are also warned due to the forecast of strong storms, in most cases late in the afternoon and with a high probability that they will be accompanied by hail.

Weather forecasts suggest that the situation will improve on Monday and that the storms will subside over the next few days.

GALICIA: cloudy at dawn, with a predominance of low cloudiness, mists and the probability of some fog banks in high inland areas, tending at intervals in the morning with a predominance of high cloudiness. Some light drizzle or rain is not ruled out in the far north in the early hours. Minimum temperatures without changes or with slight changes, and maximum temperatures rising in the interior and with slight changes on the coasts. Light north and northwest wind.

-ASTURIAS: cloudy or covered, with a predominance of low cloudiness, mists and probability of some fog bank in high areas, tending to intervals of high clouds in the afternoon with some evolution cloudiness in the Cordillera. Drizzles or light rains on the eastern coast, less likely in the rest. Temperatures with few changes, only local ascents of the maximum are expected in the extreme south-west of the Principality. Variable light wind with a predominance of the west on the coast in the morning, the east in the afternoon and the north component in the interior.

CANTABRIA: cloudy or covered with a predominance of low cloudiness in the early hours and with evolving cloudiness in the afternoon, tending towards intervals of high cloudiness at the end. Light rains in the first half of the day. Mists and probable morning fog banks in high areas of the interior. Minimum temperatures with slight changes and maximum temperatures in decline in the south and extreme east and with slight changes in the rest. Light wind from the northwest and west, with more intense intervals on the coast, tending to be variable at the end.

BASQUE COUNTRY: cloudy or overcast, with a predominance of low cloudiness, opening up temporarily clear in the afternoon. Light rains in the first half of the day, less frequent in the southern third. Morning mists and probability of a fog bank in high areas. Minimum temperatures with few changes and decreasing maximum temperatures, which will be notable in large areas of Álava and southern Guipúzcoa. Light northwest wind, somewhat more intense on the coast, tending to variable lightness at the end.

CASTILLA Y LEÓN: morning banks of low clouds in the north and northeast, with slightly cloudy skies predominating in the rest. In the afternoon the sky will be veiled by high clouds. The conditions will favor the growth of cloudiness of evolution in the northeast quadrant and the surroundings of the Central system. Light and scattered rains are not ruled out in the morning in the north of Burgos and Iberia. Minimum temperatures unchanged; maximums in slight ascent in the western third and in slight to moderate descent in the rest. Light north and northeast winds, somewhat more intense in the east.

NAVARRE: cloudy, opening up clear in the afternoon, with evolving cloudiness in the south. Probability of a stormy shower at the beginning of the day in the Pyrenees and then light rain and scattered showers in the northern third. Morning and night mists and fog banks in high areas of the northern third. Minimum temperatures in decline in the eastern end and with few changes in the rest, and maximum in notable decline. Loose northwest wind, more intense in the south of the Ribera in the afternoon.

LA RIOJA: morning banks of low clouds, with the possible formation of mists and mists. During the second half of the day, evolutionary cloudiness will increase, tending to be veiled by high clouds towards the end of the afternoon. Weak and scattered rainfall in the morning is not ruled out, preferably in the Iberian or Rioja Alta. Minimum temperatures without changes and maximum temperatures in notable decrease. ARAGÓN: cloudy intervals and cloudiness of diurnal evolution, tending to little cloudiness in the last hours. Occasional stormy showers are expected in the Pyrenees and in Teruel Iberia, more frequent after noon, when they may be locally strong and with possible hail; they are not discarded in a dispersed way in other areas of the eastern third. Declining temperatures, more pronounced in the maximum that will drop locally notably. Northwest wind, moderate in the Ebro valley, and light to moderate in the rest; in the south of Huesca it will turn to the eastern component in the afternoon.

CATALONIA: cloudy intervals and daytime cloudiness, tending to slightly cloudy in the last hours to the west, except on the northern slopes of the Pyrenees. Inland showers are expected, occasionally with storms and possible hail; they will be more frequent after noon, when they can be locally strong; in coastal areas they will be likely to be weaker, scattered and occasional. Minimum temperatures unchanged; decreasing maximums in the interior of the northern half and with few changes in the rest. In the Ampurdán, moderate north wind; in the rest, variable weak with intervals from the northeast weak to moderate in the central coast in the morning and with a predominance of the southern component in the central hours.

EXTREMADURA: clear skies or veiled by high clouds. In the morning some banks of low clouds may form in the mountains north of Cáceres. In the afternoon, clouds of evolution of little development will grow in mountainous areas of the east of the province of Badajoz. Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum temperatures slightly rising. Wind from west to north, loose.

COMMUNITY OF MADRID: slightly cloudy with intervals of high clouds and diurnal evolution during the central hours of the day. Minimum temperatures without changes or in slight decrease in the Sierra and in general slight increase in the rest; maximums without changes or in slight decrease that will be more pronounced in the northern Sierra. Loose north component wind.

CASTILLA-LA MANCHA: slightly cloudy with intervals of high clouds and diurnal evolution during the central hours of the day. Probable light rains, showers and occasional storms in the eastern third. Minimum temperatures unchanged, except for local drops in the western half. Maximum temperatures without changes or in general slight rise in the western third and in decline in the rest. Light wind with a predominance of the north component turning from the afternoon to the east component in the southeast quadrant.

VALENCIAN COMMUNITY: cloudy intervals and cloudiness of diurnal evolution, tending to little cloudy in the last hours. Occasional showers expected with thunderstorms; they will be more frequent from midday in the interior, especially in the northern half where they can be locally strong and with possible hail; in coastal areas they are not discarded with a weaker, scattered and occasional character. Minimum temperatures with little change; maximums in descent in the interior, and in slight descent or without changes in the coast. Variable wind light at first, tending to an eastern component at noon in general; in the northern interior of Castellón, light to moderate northwest wind.

REGION OF MURCIA: skies with intervals of medium and high clouds, and cloudiness of evolution in the interior. Occasional showers accompanied by storms are not ruled out, safe and more intense in the interior, which may be accompanied by hail, and be locally strong in the northeast of the Region in the afternoon. Temperatures unchanged, or locally decreasing maximums. Light variable winds, tending to an eastern component.

BALEARIC ISLANDS: cloudy intervals with an occasional shower that could be accompanied by a storm and mud. Rising night temperatures and decreasing day temperatures in the north of each island and with little change in the south. Generally light north and northeast wind.

ANDALUSIA: slightly cloudy skies, with evolving cloudiness in the eastern interior, where occasional showers accompanied by storms are not ruled out, more likely in the mountains. Temperatures with few changes, except for maximums in decline in the eastern interior, and in ascent in the extreme west. Winds from the north or northwest in the interior and the Atlantic coast, from the west component on the western Mediterranean coast and variable in the rest, turning during the day to the east component on the Mediterranean coast.

CANARY ISLANDS: in the north of the islands with greater relief, cloudy skies with generally weak rainfall, tending to subside during the morning. In the rest of the areas, slightly cloudy to clear with intervals in the northern half of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Little changed temperatures. Moderate to strong northeasterly wind with probable occasional very strong gusts on the northwest and southeast slopes of the mountainous islands, as well as on exposed summits.
