It was a wild game in Carteret as Edison took on Carteret, coming out on top with a final score of 7-3. The action-packed game saw Sam Kentos of Edison stepping up to the plate with a solo home run and a triple, showcasing his impressive skills on the field. The game started off strong for Edison, scoring three runs in the second inning, only to be answered by Carteret with a run of their own. However, Edison maintained their lead by adding runs in the fourth and fifth innings, solidifying their position at 5-1.
Edison’s Anthony Calantoni had a standout performance, going 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored, while Ray Tavarez contributed with a 2-for-3 performance and a run scored. Tavarez also put in work on the mound, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings with six strikeouts, three walks, and only allowing one earned run. On the other side, Nick Kee and Erick Martinez of Carteret put up a good fight, with Kee going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI, and Martinez contributing with a 1-for-3 performance including a double, a run scored, and an RBI.
