Kumpf Middle School Engages Students in Lifesaving Skills Challenge with American Heart Association
Kumpf Middle School in Clark, New Jersey, is buzzing with excitement this month as they partner with the American Heart Association for the American Heart Challenge. The initiative aims to equip students with vital lifesaving skills, setting the stage for a dynamic educational experience.
Physical education and health teacher Brittany Casares takes the lead in organizing this event, ensuring that all Kumpf students have the opportunity to delve into the world of CPR and AED training. The hands-on lessons kicked off on Feb. 4 during PE and health classes, with expert guidance from certified instructor David Hartzler, who also serves as a PE and health teacher.
Casares expresses her enthusiasm for the program, highlighting the importance of empowering students with life-saving knowledge. She emphasizes the value of equipping young individuals with the skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations, fostering a sense of preparedness and confidence.
