Exeter Chiefs, a rugby club from Broadclyst, Exeter, had a memorable moment at the recent Premiership Rugby HITZ Awards 2024. Ronin, an 18-year-old participant from the club, stood out by winning the prestigious HITZ Young Achiever Award 2024 at a touching ceremony held at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham. The event was attended by young learners, mentors, and supportive businesses involved in the award-winning Premiership Rugby HITZ education and employment program.
The ceremony was a special occasion where the remarkable achievements of 12 outstanding individuals from different parts of the country were acknowledged. The evening featured videos showcasing the journeys of all the shortlisted candidates, highlighting their bravery, commitment, and passion for using the HITZ program to create better futures for themselves, even in the face of challenges.
Hosted by Topsy Ojo and attended by esteemed Premiership players like Rob Vickers, Jack Kenningham, Lennox Anyanwu, and Ivan van Zyl, the night was filled with pride and celebration of how rugby can positively impact lives. Laylla Stanley, Strategic Lead at Premiership Rugby, commended Ronin on his award win and emphasized the life-changing impact of the HITZ program.
