The Kings League, the 7-a-side soccer tournament organized by Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué and in which 12 teams of streamers and former soccer players participate, is proving to be a success, to which Ronaldinho himself has recently joined. Now, the Kosmos project surprises again by officially announcing the birth of the Queens League, the women’s version of the competition.

It was Ibai himself who on February 6 announced the launch of the soccer queens league on his channels. Since then, more than 1,000 players and former players have shown interest in participating and Oysho, the Inditex brand focused on lingerie and swimwear, has been incorporated into the name of the competition.

The calendar for the first edition of the Queens League starts on May 6 with the first of the 11 days. Six games per day. Each match lasts 40 minutes, 20 each part, with the same format and rules as the men’s version.

After everyone against everyone, the first eight teams in the standings will play the playoffs on July 22 and 29. Thus, the women’s competition is held on Saturday afternoons, while the Kings League matches are held on Sundays.

There are still other earlier dates to take into account, since the tests to select the players for the Queens League Oysho are held on April 1, while the NBA-style draft takes place on the 16th, with which the teams will configure their templates.

The 12 franchises that are competing in the Kings League Infojobs are going to have their women’s teams and almost all of them have announced the incorporation of a female president. There are streamers and influencers:

As with the men’s teams, the Queens League squads have players number 11 and 12, invited directly by the presidents to join their teams. There are no draws, since in the event of a draw on the scoreboard, the game is resolved with a shootout of five penalties, where the player leaves the center of the field towards the goal, having five seconds to score.

The water polo-style kick-off is also maintained, the League Cards, which cause the two teams to remove one or more players from the field of play or the Secret Weapons (double goal cards, penalty, penalty, penalty shoot- out, steal and wild card).

All matches can be viewed live on the official Queens League Twitch channel, as well as on the channels of the league team presidents.
