If you want to break something with “Let’s Dance”, you have to do one thing above all: practice, practice, practice. Actress Chryssanthi Kavazi knows that too. She therefore does not take her participation in the RTL show lightly. She even temporarily put her engagement in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” on hold.
When the 16th season of “Let’s Dance” starts on RTL and RTL on Friday, actress Chryssanthi Kavazi will also dance for the title “Dancing Star 2023”. The 34-year-old is known not least from “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” (GZSZ). In order to focus fully on the training, she briefly interrupted the shooting of the RTL series.
The actress had her last day of shooting for the time being on February 10th. RTL will broadcast the episodes with Kavazi aka Laura Weber until April. Then the figure says goodbye “with a big bang” until June during the break.
“What happens, no one will expect and will change everything,” reveals Kavazi. She does not divulge any further details. Only so much can be said: “Laura will not make friends with it again, fall back into old patterns and lose almost everything and everyone.”
She enjoyed “being able to show everything again,” says Kavazi. But now she is looking forward to the adventure “Let’s Dance” – to “muscle soreness, blisters on her feet, dance steps like catchy tunes in her head and lots of fun”. Kavazi sees participation in the dance competition as an opportunity to “introduce yourself personally to the audience”. After all, most of them would only know them in their GZSZ role.
Kavazi has been part of the RTL hit series since 2017. There she quickly became a crowd favorite. But the German-Greek actress has other facets, as she demonstrated in the movie “Men’s Day” (2016) or the TV series “Einstein”. It remains to be seen whether she also has what it takes to be a dancer.
The 34-year-old will compete against the modeling daughter of Boris Becker Anna Ermakova, cooking influencer and model Sally Özcan, Julia Beautx, known from the TV series “Frühling” and YouTuber, ex-“Germany’s next top model” star and Model Alex Mariah Peter and former Bachelorette actress Sharon Battiste.
The celebrity gentlemen taking part in “Let’s Dance” this year are YouTube and Twitch star Jens “Knossi” Knossalla, mentalist and author Timon Krause, former professional gymnast Philipp Boy, content creator Younes Zarou, star chef Ali Güngörmü? , handball star Michael “Mimi” Kraus and the comedian Abdelkarim.
