The temperatures in Mallorca are currently breaking the 30 degree mark every day. No wonder that the Spanish royals wear airy outfits during their summer vacation, as they did on Sunday evening in Palma de Mallorca. Queen Letizia (49), her daughters Leonor (16) and Sofía (15) and her mother-in-law Sophia of Greece (83) spent a classic women’s evening in the streets of the holiday city. As photos of their walk show, they strolled through the evening market on Passeig Sagrera.
Letizia, Leonor and Sofía wore very short, colorful dresses that just reached the thighs and showed a lot of legs. Letizia chose a white shirt dress with a pink pattern, Leonor chose a blue patterned outfit. Sofia appeared all in white. Sophia chose long, wide trousers with a geometric pattern with a matching jacket and white shirt. The four women wore their hair down and once again wore stylish espadrilles.
Queen Letizia and her daughters had already shown their weakness for espadrilles in the past few days. Their taste in fashion doesn’t just seem to be the same when it comes to shoes. Not only does Letizia wear clothes that are as young as her offspring, she sometimes even uses clothes from her children’s wardrobes. At the end of July, she wore a floor-length, red patterned dress that Leonor had previously presented in public.
Former Queen Sophia had linked arms with Letizia on the walk, although the relationship between the two is considered tense. In 2018, the two even had a minor argument in front of the cameras. On Sunday evening, however, the four women seemed in a good mood and beamed for the photographers.
Princesses Leonor and Sofía are the daughters of Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI. of Spain (54). The two have been married since 2004 and have been the royal couple since June 2014. Previously, Felipe’s parents, Juan Carlos I (84), who now lives in exile, and his wife Sophia, were King and Queen of Spain from 1975 to 2014.
