Kirk Medas, the dude who was on MTV’s “Floribama Shore,” is currently in the ICU fighting for his life after getting hit with a serious illness. This former reality show star has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks now dealing with a bad case of necrotizing pancreatitis, which is no joke.
His homegirl Aimee Elizabeth Hall spilled the tea on Instagram, saying, “Our boy Kirk has been in the ICU for over two weeks now, fighting a serious case of necrotizing pancreatitis. It’s rough out here, y’all. He’s on a ventilator, and things are looking pretty grim.”
Necrotizing pancreatitis is a fancy term for when your pancreas gets all inflamed and starts killing off tissue. Not a fun time, for sure.
To make matters worse, Kirk doesn’t have any medical insurance, so his mama set up a GoFundMe to help cover the bills. It’s a tough situation all around.
It’s not clear if Kirk had any health issues before this bombshell dropped on him. But his OG homie Nilsa Prowant has been holding it down, visiting him in the hospital while keeping the rest of the crew updated on his condition.
Kirk, who’s 33 years old, was part of the “Floribama Shore” crew for 25 episodes from 2017 to 2020. The show was like a spinoff of “Jersey Shore,” but set in Panama City Beach, Florida. Just imagine the drama and shenanigans that went down!
