Moscow is launching attacks in five cities on the front line and has brought more soldiers to Ukraine, according to Kiev’s armed forces. The resistance was successful in two cities. Commander-in-Chief Zalushny repeated his request for combat aircraft to the United States.

The Ukrainian army has confirmed intensified Russian attacks on front-line cities in Donbass. In the evening report of the general staff in Kiev, Russian attacks on Kupyansk, Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Wuhledar in the east of the country were mentioned. The attacks near Avdiivka, which is close to Donetsk, and near Wuhledar were repelled, it said.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian army brought more soldiers into Ukraine, there was talk of 200 conscripts from the neighboring Russian region of Rostov. The military information could not be verified independently. The Russian Ministry of Defense had previously reported that the offensive in the Donetsk area was being intensified with artillery and airstrikes.

Accordingly, a weapons store near Bachmut was destroyed today. In addition, four HIMARS rockets and five drones belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces were shot down. The Russian leadership has made taking the city of Bakhmut, which has been hotly contested for months, a priority in its goal to gain complete control of the industrial Donbass.

At the weekend, the Wagner group reported that they had taken a suburb of Bachmut. Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said his fighters had taken “complete control” over the village of Yahidne.

The Ukrainian defenders are therefore under a lot of pressure in Bakhmut, which has been the subject of a fight for the last six months. According to military information, the almost completely destroyed city will not be abandoned, with the tactical goal of tying down and wiping out as many Russian troops as possible.

According to official sources, Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valeriy Zalushnyi called US Chief of Staff Mark Milley again. It was about the situation and international arms aid for Ukraine. Zalushny stressed that his country urgently needs US F-16 fighter jets. The western supporters of the attacked country have so far not wanted to provide aircraft.
