The deadline to request the 200-euro aid check, promoted by the Government within its package of measures to deal with inflation, began on February 15, 2023. According to Executive calculations, more than 4 million people are going to benefit from this new feature. To try to reach that figure, and after the failure of the previous check, which barely reached 600,000 people out of the 2.7 million expected, the Treasury has facilitated access to the new aid. With the first applications already in process, many ask themselves the same question: how do I know if they have accepted the aid of 200 euros?

In theory, to receive the single payment of the check, it is enough to meet the requirements, mainly having a maximum income of 27,000 euros and assets of less than 75,000 euros without having the habitual residence, and filling out the application form through the electronic headquarters of the Tax Agency before March 31 (there is no documentation to provide). In the event that the aid has not been granted, the interested party has a period of 10 days to present allegations.

As reported by the Ministry of Finance, the term to enter the aid is three months from the date of completion of the term to submit the form. In other words, the check for 200 euros will begin to be paid from June 30, 2023.

To check if the aid of 200 euros has been accepted, you must go to the electronic headquarters of the Tax Agency and select the option “Consult submitted applications”. Remember that, just as to request the check, access to the consultation requires identification by means of an electronic certificate, DNIe or Cl@ve PIN.

Once identified, the form will show by default the NIF of the person who has entered the access codes. In the “query search filter”, next to the “NIF required” and “Surname and first name” fields, the “Show declarations in deregistration status” box appears; if checked, the status of the applications submitted will be displayed. If the word “Registration” is read in the new “status” column, it means that the aid of 200 euros has been approved and will be paid as of March 31. On the other hand, if you are on leave, it has not been granted.

For a more exhaustive review, click on “Search” in the “GAS-Management of Direct Sectoral Aid” model for “year 2023”. An options menu will appear in the search result: “Desist”, “Type of aid”, “Observations”, “File”, “Date and time of presentation”, “Obtain proof” and “Download file presented”. This last option is the one to press to know the status of the benefit. If you press “View”, you get a text file with the data presented (it will be downloaded to the download folder of your computer depending on the browser you have used).

Finally, in the “Observations” column, information about the file appears, whether the application is accepted or if there is any incident. In summary, to download the application file and see if the Tax Agency has granted the check:

One of the main problems encountered by those who request assistance is access to the electronic office. The Tax Agency recalls that there are two ways for a user to register in the Cl@ve system and be able to submit the application.

Through the Internet: with the Secure Verification Code (CSV) of the invitation letter that is obtained in the “Register in cl@ve” option. From the same option you can request the Cl@ve through a video call.

In person. You must make an appointment through the personal attention telephone number: 91 290 13 40 / 901 200 251. Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (until 3 p.m. in August).
