Aranda de Duero (Burgos) is preparing to kick off the Sonorama Ribera festival, which from Wednesday to Sunday will flood every corner of this Burgos town with music.
In this twenty-sixth edition of Sonorama, more than 150 artists will pass through the festival’s seven stages, three urban and four in the festival site itself, which puts a town in the so-called España Vaciada on the map.
With all the season tickets sold weeks ago and only a few day tickets still within the reach of the latecomers, a global influx during the entire festival of some 120,000 people is estimated, four times the usual population of Aranda de Duero.
A careful program has been designed for them in which consolidated groups and artists alternate with emerging formations, which gives Sonorama such a special character.
Sonorama is rejuvenated year after year thanks to the fact that practically 60 percent of its audience is under 30 years of age.
Apart from these incipient groups, the big names in this twenty-sixth edition of Sonorama Ribera are the American alternative rock band Wilco, the only international presence this year.
The Aragonese duo Amaral will also perform, who will celebrate their silver wedding anniversary with a unique concert in which they will perform 25 of their hits. Together with them, they return to Sonorama Vetusta Morla, Lori Meyers, Viva Suecia or Sidonie.
To access the campsite, it is essential to have the camping ticket and General Pass, Vip Pass or Day Ticket (by presenting tickets on Wednesday or festival accreditation from Thursday).
In the case of having a day ticket, you can access the normal camping or glamping area only on the day for which you have a festival ticket. If you have several day tickets, you will only need a supplement for the camping area.
The camping area will officially open its doors on Wednesday the 9th at 12:00 p.m. until Monday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m., the date and time at which all campers must have cleared the entire area.
It is strictly forbidden to park and drive motor vehicles in the vicinity of the campsite. Also, loading and unloading at the front door is not allowed.
The organization of Sonorama 2023 has enabled four official car parks outside the urban area:
On the other hand, in Aranda de Duero there are several places to park on festive days next to Albillo and its surroundings.
