Swiss Billionaire’s Vision: Ulyssia Gigayacht

Swiss billionaire Frank Binder is making waves in the maritime world with his groundbreaking project, Ulyssia, set to be the world’s largest gigayacht at an astonishing 1,050 feet long. This residential boat is not just a vessel; it is a lifestyle, promising “a life without boundaries” for its future inhabitants. With 133 apartments, including 10 penthouses and 22 guest suites, Ulyssia is redefining luxury at sea.

Unprecedented Luxury and Design

What sets Ulyssia apart is not just its size, but the unparalleled luxury and design it offers. Each of the 133 apartments, ranging from one to six bedrooms, will meet the standards of a five-star hotel, complete with modern amenities and an open-plan kitchen. Residents will have access to a theater, multiple dining options, swimming pools, two helicopters, a medical center, a library, a wine cellar, and conference spaces. The onboard eateries will be staffed by a mix of world-famous and up-and-coming chefs, ensuring a culinary experience like no other.

The interior of Ulyssia is designed to be a sanctuary at sea, with large windows, cream furnishings, and wooden floors creating a light and airy atmosphere. The ship’s food store offers an alternative to onboard dining, catering to residents’ diverse tastes. An illustration of Ulyssia’s design showcases a spacious deck at the rear, extending over the water and equipped with deckchairs, water sports gear, and jet-ski docks.

A Vision Realized: Frank Binder’s Inspiration

Frank Binder’s journey to creating Ulyssia began with his fascination with the World, a private boat with permanent homes that travels the globe. Inspired by this concept, Binder sought to elevate the idea to new heights with Ulyssia. His decision to embark on this ambitious project stemmed from a desire to have a space of his own that transcends traditional real estate options.

Reflecting on his vision, Binder shared, “My first thought was to make it look like a yacht, not a cruise ship.” With construction set to commence between May and September 2025, Ulyssia is projected to be delivered in the first half of 2029. Binder’s partnership with the management team of the World signifies his commitment to creating a unique residential experience that blends opulence with innovation on the high seas.
