Honda missed its small car Jazz a power injection. In the future, all of its units will each have more than 100 hp. There is a new sports version to go with it.
The Honda Jazz is a reliable and practical small car. As a used car, its third generation recently received the “Sieger 2023 Kleinwagen” award in the TÜV report. Now the Japanese car manufacturer has given the Jazz a technical and visual update as well as a new equipment line with Advance Sport.
Especially in the equipment Elegance and Advance, the Honda Jazz offers a new radiator grille look and more darkened headlights. In addition, the front and rear aprons as well as the color and wheel selection have been revised. Inside there are new colours, materials and surfaces to choose from. The Honda Crosstar has new seat covers and a two-spoke steering wheel, among other things.
The new Advance Sport equipment offers a sportier look. Special features are the optional “Urban Gray” exterior paintwork, black accents and special 16-inch wheels. Inside, the model is sportier and finer furnished. This impression is intended to be conveyed, among other things, by decorative seams and seat covers with a mixture of synthetic smooth leather and suede.
In addition, the performance of all three aggregates of the e:HEV system has been increased. Instead of 80 kW/109 hp, the electric drive has an output of 90 kW/122 hp, the electric generator motor has increased by 8 kW/11 hp to 78 kW/106 hp, while the 1.5-liter petrol engine has increased by 7 kW/ 10 hp to 79 kW/107 hp.
Honda has not yet made any statements about the performance, but the Jazz should offer better response behavior in combination with a modified automatic. At the same time, a modified setup of the suspension should convey a more dynamic driving experience.
Honda wants to launch the refreshed Jazz in Germany pretty soon. Prices are likely to rise slightly. The starting price is currently just under 24,000 euros.
