The economist Ramón Tamames has put up for sale on the Amazon e-commerce platform his speech as a candidate for the Presidency of the Government in the unsuccessful motion of no confidence presented by Vox against Pedro Sánchez and debated this week in the Congress of Deputies.

Under the title ‘For a Spain of all. Our best future’ and edited by JdeJ Editores, Tamames offers the latest version of what it describes as “a complete analysis for the renewal of political and social life”, as indicated on the platform.

On Amazon it is only sold in Kindle version format, for electronic reading, at a price of 4.74 euros.

It emphasizes that the speech, which is reproduced verbatim, has been prepared “from an independent vision, with a wealth of data that make up a critical, courageous and hopeful analysis for the reconstruction of Spain in which we all have a place”.

At the beginning of the book, of 81 pages and on whose cover the tilde of the letter ñ of the title is a flag of Spain, the economist has added an unpublished text as a prologue.

In it, he explains and summarizes the fundamental points of his speech, such as the “necessary” constitutional impulse of Spain, the proposal for a more dynamic economy, the defense of a new electoral law and the reasons for said change and, finally, the proposal to detect and eradicate corruption in political life.

The economist has sent this same Thursday, just one day after his candidacy failed, a letter of thanks to his friends, to which EFE has had access, in which he assures that he has received many writings in support of the motion.

He is grateful for his “words of encouragement” which, according to what he says in the letter, have contributed to staying “in position for as long as this dialectical and media tornado lasts.”

Tamames concludes the letter, in which he encloses his speech, by saying that he hopes the media images “have sufficiently illustrated the case.”
