The government’s communication strategy on the pension reform is eroding a little more every day. Tuesday, February 28, it was the turn of the number of people affected by the minimum pension of 1,200 euros to be undermined. In a letter to the deputy of the Socialist Party Jérôme Guedj, and made public by the latter, the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt assured that “the number of new retirees crossing the threshold of 1,200 euros by the sole fact of the increase in the minimum pension” will amount to “between 10,000 and 20,000 people”.
Only, on February 15, the minister mentioned “40,000 new retirees” concerned. Jérôme Guedj therefore tackles: “Olivier Dussopt finally admits having inflated the figures. “The government and the minister are lying to the French with figures that change from day to day,” added the leader of the socialist deputies, Boris Vallaud. The president of the Insoumis deputies, Mathilde Panot, was ironic: what will the “Dussopt of March” say? “.
1)? And so @olivierdussopt finally admits having inflated the figures: on February 15 on @franceinter, it was “40,000 new retirees at 1200€ due to the ?? of the minimum contributory” Following my check, he admits that it will be “10 to 20,000” 1.2% to 2.5% of retirees pic.twitter.com/BfknWN8UDA
On February 16, Jérôme Guedj had already put the Minister of Labor in difficulty, by carefully checking his statements, during the debate on pensions. In the hemicycle, supporting figures, he questioned the “sincerity” of the data put forward by the Minister of Labour, in particular on the number of people who will benefit from the pension at 1,200 euros gross monthly, provoking fury of this one. “You’ve been on the loose for a few days,” Olivier Dussopt told him, refusing to “account” for how he made his predictions.
